Micro manipulation prior to time lapse live cell imaging is becoming more and more popular. The hydraulic (Narishige), motorised (Eppendorf) and mechanical (Research Instruments) styles of manipulators have been used inside our incubation chambers for many years.
Will the circulating warm air cause my pipette tips to vibrate?
No movement of the tips is observed. Vibrations of the laboratory caused by passing traffic are however often observed.
Can I microinject adherent cells cultured in unbuffered medium?
Yes. There are special lids for the CO2 enrichment accessory for just this operation.
